In the wake of South Sudan’s ongoing years-long civil war—creating one of the world’s largest refugee crises—tens of thousands of displaced individuals still live in makeshift camps without access to essential lifesaving care. Currently, two camps located in Juba are experiencing overwhelming supply shortages and related challenges. For this year's Miles for Mothers, Jhpiego is raising funds to save lives in this war-ravaged nation. Our goal is $31,000 to purchase diagnostic medical supplies and clinical equipment, supplies for community health workers, and clinic space improvements. Join us by walking, running, donating or sponsoring a participant to keep moms and babies healthy!
Where a mother lives, should not determine if she lives.
This year, our efforts will support South Sudan which is experiencing one of the world’s largest refugee crises and has the fifth highest maternal mortality rate in the world. The needs in South Sudan are overwhelming - from essential diagnostic tools to basic supplies, ensuring women and children are healthy and receive adequate health care is a daily challenge. They need YOUR help!
Remember - a little is a lot, and every dollar counts-100% of your donation will go directly to buy lifesaving medical equipment and supplies for South Sudan. Your support means a lot to me, and, most importantly, to the mothers and children Jhpiego has the privilege to serve in South Sudan.
Help equip health facilities for displaced women and children in South Sudan.
